Brief
The company “ZBO”, organizers of the “Raid Amazones”, a famous French multi-sports event for women was looking for a destination to host the 2009 event. This event travels is exported every year to a different overseas destination (Mauritius, Kenya, French Guyana…).
Interface Tourism worked in partnership with ZBO to facilitate cooperation and to maximize the visibility of Sri Lanka.

Tactics
- Interface Tourism coordinated with ZBO the communication element of the Raid to increase the visual consistency and media attractiveness of the Sri Lanka Tourism Board.
- Negotiation and coordination of a barter agreement with Virgin Radio to increase the attractiveness of the destination to a broader audience (the possibility to win 10 trips to Sri Lanka).
- Recruitment of a Miss France team (through the auspices of the Miss France Committee) to attract the attention of news and lifestyle media.
- Coordination of an extension to the visit so that one of the Misses could participate in a charity project in Sri Lanka (Turtle Conservation Project) providing media story opportunities.
- Management of the Miss France team throughout the event and coordination work with participating partners.
