display allInterface Tourism Spain handles the registration of travel bloggers in FITUR 2012

For the first time ever in the history of FITUR, the Spanish blogosphere will have its own unique identification thanks to a collaboration agreement between TravelBloggers Meeting, Interface Tourism Spain, the Institute of Hotel Technology (ITH) and the Hosteltur Community
Over the last number of years the figure of the travel blogger has been gaining ever more influence amongst influencers in what is the world’s biggest industry. Travel fairs have begun to register certain bloggers as journalists, primarily those who write about the professional hospitality sector. Fitur has acknowledged that the social media do not have the same needs as traditional media and that exhibitors therefore need to be able to differentiate between bloggers and journalists.
In the forthcoming edition, which will take place from the 18th to the 22nd of January 2012, travel and tourism bloggers who comply with a series of previously established requisites will be able to obtain their credentials for both the professional and the general public days.
In order to identify and register the most influential travel bloggers, FITUR is relying on the collaboration of the TravelBloggers Meeting, the Hosteltur Community and the Institute of Hotel Technology. For its part, Interface Tourism Spain will be responsible for coordinating the logistics of the registrations with the Fair itself.
Bloggers who are interested in requesting accreditation must fill in the registration form in the web www.travelbloggersmeeting.com
The bloggers’ route
Another brand new idea is the FITUR Bloggers’ Route which will start at 12 o’clock on Friday 20th January with a glass of Chilean wine, on the stand of Chile. It will be a perfect networking opportunity to chat with and to “devirtualise” other bloggers from the sector.
Later on, at 13:30 we have another appointment on the Hosteltur stand, to celebrate the closure of Fiturtech and the meeting of bloggers from the different sectors of the Hosteltur Community, organised by ITH and Hosteltur.
The hashtag to identify the get together in Twitter will be #TBMFITUR12 and to keep up to date with all that’s going on, visit the web www.travelbloggersmeeting.com
