Born in Imperia in 1974, she got her A Degree in Foreign Languages and Literatures at the Università Cattolica of Milan with a specialisation in Communication and Information Strategies and a focus in tourism management in 1998. Being grown up in one of the most famous Italian seaside areas, Serena has always beein interested in tourism, that’s why after a first approach to PR in the Milanese agency Il Caffè and a two years experience in the export department of Frantoio Bianco, producing Italian food and specialities, she moved to the Nyala Suite Hotel of Sanremo where she took care of the Sales & Marketing and PR department, participating in international trade exhibitions, issuing press communication, organising events, such as the launch of famous cars like Audi TT, Alfa Romeo 147, jazz and orchestral concerts, and managing sales and customer relations during international happenings like the Montecarlo F1 race.

In 2001 Serena moved to Turin, where she started working as a consultant for one of the biggest PR agencies in Italy, first as PR Account Manager for international tourist boards, like New Zealand and Kenya, and then as a Marketing Director for international accounts such as : Hong Kong, Seychelles and Jordan.

In March 2004 she founded ES Communication together with her partner, Elena Martinetto: they’ve been consultants for Aviareps (for Kenya Tourist Board), La Meridiana Relais & Chateaux (a 5 stars hotel in Liguria, Italy) and for Mete di Liguria, a group of Luxury Bed & Breakfast; ES Communication is now focusing more on the organisation of international events (Tourism congresses and conferences, sport and cultural events).

Main hobbies & interests: her main hobby is spending time with Happy (her golden retriever), but being 100% Italian Serena loves music (listened, sung or danced) and sitting at the restaurant (so she also needs to go jogging), she also loves reading and travelling. Serena 3 homes are Liguria, Milan and New Zealand.
